    LP339D Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

    • The LP339D can operate from -40°C to 125°C, but the maximum junction temperature (TJ) should not exceed 150°C.
    • To ensure stability, use a minimum output capacitance of 10uF, and a maximum ESR of 1 ohm. Also, ensure the input voltage is within the recommended range and the output is not overloaded.
    • The LP339D can regulate the output with an input voltage as low as 3.5V, but the recommended minimum input voltage is 4.5V for a 3.3V output and 5.5V for a 5V output.
    • The LP339D is designed for low-current applications (up to 100mA). For high-current applications, consider using a different regulator, such as the LM1117 or LM2675.
    • The output voltage of the LP339D is determined by the resistor divider network (R1 and R2) connected to the ADJ pin. Use the formula: Vout = 1.24V * (1 + R2/R1) to calculate the output voltage.
