GENERAL DESCRIPTION LM339 consists lour independent voltage comparators which were designed specifically operate from single power supply over wide range voltages. Operation from split power supplies also possible power supply current drain independent magnitude power supply voltage. These comparators also have unique characteristic that input common-mode voltage range includes ground, even though operated from single power supply voltage. Application areas include limit comparators, simple analog digital converters; pulse, squarewave time delay generators; wide range VCO; clock timers; multivibrators high voltage digital logic gates. LM339 designed directly interface with cind CMOS. When operated from both plus minus power supplies, LM339 will directly interface with logic where power drain LM339 distinct advantage over standard comparators.
