description
LM118, LM218, LM318 precision, high-speed operational amplifiers designed applications requiring wide bandwidth high slew rate. They feature factor-of-ten increase speed over general-purpose devices without sacrificing performance.
These operational amplifiers have internal unity-gain frequency compensation. This considerably simplifies their application, since external components necessary operation. However, unlike most internally compensated amplifiers, external frequency compensation added optimum performance. inverting applications, feed-forward compensation boosts slew rate over V/ps almost double bandwidth. Overcompensation used with amplifier greater stability when maximum bandwidth needed. Further, single capacitor added reduce settling time error band under
high speed fast settling time these operational amplifiers make them useful converters, oscillators, active filters, sample-and-hold circuits, general-purpose amplifiers.
