Functional Description
GM6486 specifically designed operate digit displays with minimal interface with display data source. Serial data transfer from data source display driver accomplished with signals, serial data, clock load. data bits latched positive pulse, thus providing non-multiplexed direct drive display. Outputs change only serial data bits differ from previous time. Display brightness determined control output current drivers. capacitor should connected brightness control, prevent possible oscillation. block diagram shown figure output current typically times greater than current into which external variable resistor.
