Very small OEM type thermal dispersion level sensors for leak detectors Standard rubber grommet fitting for commercial applications Leak detection package can detect leaks to 1 mm Estel sensor material suitable for water and most oils
Polysulphone sensor material option for acids and alkalines DC powered at 12 VDC Standard NPN open collector transistor output High level switching optional- Solid state relay or power transistor
The TDL series utilizes the thermal dispersion principle of the dissipation of heat by a liquid to detect the presence or absence of a liquid as compared with air. The sensor contains a resistor in the form of a thermistor. The thermistor acts as a heater when voltage is applied to it, as would a resistor. It also detects heat and converts heat into an electrical signal. When the heat generated by the thermistor is dissipated by a liquid, a switch output occurs. The TDL is designed to meet standards set by major food and health agencies around the world. It conforms to the Japan Food Research Laboratories standards, as authorized by the Japan Ministry of Health and Welfare and to the FDA standards in the USA. UL approved components are used in construction of the sensor. Specific UL or CSA approval on the sensor is available on request.

TDL series of sensors are designed for low cost liquid level monitoring and leak detection. Light to moderate buildup on the sensor will not affect thermal dispersion performance. Therefore, it is suitable for applications in industries such as: · Semiconductor rinsing chemicals · Applications subject to soap film and dirt, such as washing appliances · Automatic plumbing fixtures like bidets, toilets and baths · Vending machines · Mineral and drinking water · Pharmaceutical processes · Automotive OEM · Machine tool · Electrical equipment such as liquid insulated transformers and capacitors The thermal dispersion principle employed is suitable for any low / medium viscosity liquid at moderate temperature.
