FS8860-19Cx FS8860-29Cx exceptions, which have output voltage 1.85V 2.85V respectively. output range adjustable types from 1.25V FS8860 consists 1.25V reference, error amplifier, P-channel pass transistor allows 65µA (Typ.) ground current. Other features include short-circuit protection thermal shutdown protection.

Detail Description
FS8860 low-dropout linear regulator. supplies pre-selected 1.8V, 2.5V 3.3V output made with options output range from 1.3V 4.5V 100mV increments load currents 1.0A. illustrated function block diagram, consists 1.25V reference, error amplifier, p-channel pass transistor internal feedback voltage divider (fixed voltage types). 1.25V bandgap reference connected error amplifier, which compares this reference with feedback voltage amplifies difference. feedback voltage lower than reference voltage, pass-transistor gate pulled lower, which allows more current pass output increases output voltage. feedback voltage high, pass-transistor gate pulled allowing less current pass output. output voltage feed back through internal resistive divider external resistive divider adjustable output voltage version) connected OUT.
