Description Operation
11.1 Normal Condition
FS326 Series Datasheet
FS326 monitors voltage battery connected between voltage difference between control charging discharging. When VODL<VDD<VOCU VCH<VCSI<VOI1, turns charging(M2) discharging(M1) control FETs charging discharging processes operated normally. This condition called normal condition. Note: When battery connected first time, enter normal condition (not dischargeable condition). this occurs, voltage equal voltage (short pins connect charger) enter normal condition.
11.2 Overcharge Condition
When battery voltage becomes higher than overcharge detection voltage(VOCU) during charging under normal condition detection continues overcharge detection delay time(TOC) longer, FS326 turns stop charging. This condition called overcharge condition.
11.3 Release Overcharge Condition
There ways return normal condition from overcharge condition.
When battery self discharging, VDD<VOCR VOI1>VCSI>VCH occurs, turned back normal condition. Remove charger connected load, that discharging current flows through parasitic diode this moment VCSI increases momentarily voltage parasitic diode from level. VCSI>VOI1 VDD<VOCU occurs, turned back normal condition. Note After entering overcharge condition, charger removed VOI1>VCSI>VCH, then will turned when voltage battery lower than VOCR (because self-discharge battery). system enter charge status again Note After entering overcharge condition, charger removed VCSI<VCH, then will kept even though voltage battery lower than VOCR (because self-discharge battery), system will enter charge status.
11.4 Overdischarge Condition
When battery voltage falls below overdischarge detection voltage(VODL) during discharging under normal condition detection continues overdischarge detection delay time(TOD) longer, FS326 turns stop discharging. This condition called

overdischarge condition. meanwhile, pulled internal resistance, RCSID. VCSI>VOI2, protection enters into Power-down mode. (Its current consumption lower than 0.1uA).
11.5 Release Power-down mode
After entering Power-down mode, system connected charger, charging current flows through parasitic diode VCSI<VOI2 occurs, then will release Power-down mode. keeping charging, there ways enter normal condition.
VCSI<VCH (Charger detection), then when VDD>VODL, will turned system enters normal condition. VCH<VCSI<VOI2, then must VDD>VODR turned make system enter normal condition.
11.6 Charger Detection
Power-down mode, when connecting charger, VCSI<VCH, then will turned when VDD>VODL, system will enter normal condition described previous section, because charger detection function enabled. This action called charger detection.
11.7 Abnormal Charge Current Condition
When charger connected battery normal condition, VDD<VOCU VCSI<VCH occurs delay time longer than TOC, then will turned charging stop. This condition called abnormal charge current condition Abnormal charge current condition released when voltage becomes higher than charger detection voltage(VCH), charger removed.
11.8 Over Current Short Circuit Condition
When discharging current large during discharging under normal condition voltage detected from larger than VOIX (VOI1 VOI2) over certain delay time TOIX (TOI1 TOI2), means over current/short circuit condition occurred. turned off. pulled internal resistance, RCSIS. This condition called over current (short circuit) condition. over current short circuit detected continues longer than overdischarge detection delay time without releasing load, condition changes power-down condition when battery voltage falls below overdischarge detection voltage. battery voltage falls below overdischarge detection voltage over current short circuit, discharging control turns when over current short circuit detected. battery voltage restores late battery voltage after overdischarge detection delay time equal lower than overdischarge detection voltage, condition changes power-down condition.

11.9 Release Over Current Short Circuit Condition
While protection remains Over current/Short circuit condition load removed impedance between VBAT+ VBAT- larger than 500K VCSI<VOI1, turned back normal condition.
