General Description
APW38HC4XA family fixed frequency, high performance, current-mode controller with drive current capability. Undervoltage lockout circuitry allows APW38HC42A APW38HC44A versions start 14.5V operate down APW38HC43A APW38HC45A versions start 8.4V with operateion down 7.6V. versions operate 24V. ultra start-up current 25µA (typical), operating current (typical) have been designed improve converter efficiency. High output driving capability 1.2A ensures fast switching minimize switching losses. APW38HC4XA features trimmed temperature compensated oscillator discharge current bandgap reference. APW38HC4XA available both 8-pin plastic packages.

Functional Description
Name Number COMP ISNS RT/CT VREF Function Description Compensation: Connect external compensation network modify error amplifier output. Feedback (Input): Error amplifier input. Feedback 2.5V desired output voltage. Current Sense (Input): Current sense comparator input. Connect current sensing resistor current transformer. Timing Resistor/Timing Capacitor: Connect external network select switching frequency. Ground: Combined analog power ground. Power Output: Totem-pole output. Analog Supply (Input): Controller circuitry supply input. Return analog ground (AGND). Reference (Output): Connect external network.
