General Description
APW7057 fixed 300kHz frequency, voltage mode, synchronous controller which drives dual N-channel MOSFETs designed work from single input supply both 3.3V inputs, providing excellent regulation output load variation. integrates controls, monitoring protection functions into single 8-pin package. power-on-reset (POR) circuit monitors supply voltage start up/shutdown power on/off. Internal 0.8V temperature-compensated reference voltage designed meet output voltage further applications. Additional built-in soft-start function sets soft-start interval prevent output voltage from overshoot well limiting input current. controller's over-current protection (OCP) monitors output current using voltage drop across high-side MOSFET's RDS(ON), eliminating need current sensing resistor. additional under-voltage protection(UVP) monitors voltage short-circuit protection. over-current under-voltage protections trip cycle soft-start function until third fault events happened. Pulling holding OCSET below 1.25V with open drain device shuts down controller.

Functional Description

Functional Description
(Pin This inverting input internal error amplifier. Connect this output (VOUT) converter external resistor divider provide feedback loop converter. output voltage resistor divider determined using following formula ROUT VOUT=0.8V RGND where ROUT resistor connected from VOUT RGND resistor connected from GND. OCSET (Pin Connect resistor (ROCSET) from this drain high-side MOSFET. This resistor, internal 40µA current source (IOCSET), MOSFET's onresistance (RDS(ON)) converter over-current trip point (IPEAK) according following formular IPEAK IOCSET ROCSET RDS(ON) PHASE (Pin Connect this source high-side MOSFET. This used monitor voltage drop across high-side MOSFET over-current protection.
over-current trip cycles soft-start function counts each over-current event. shuts down controller after counter reaches three times. Pulling holding this below 1.25V with open drain device shuts down Releasing OCSET initiates soft-start controller.
