DESCRIPTION
53248-102 Solid State High Side Power Controller (SSPC) that designed replace electromagnetic circuit breakers rated amperes. high side switch utilizing N-channel vertical power technology with integral charge pump. SSPC provides status output that signals variety conditions including over temperature shutdown, overvoltage undervoltage, over-current short circuit. will trip latch above conditions until reset recycling control input. Using vertical MOSFET technology, SSPC offers extremely "ON" resistance. This results very power dissipation, which allows operation over temperature range -40°C +85°C with minimal heat sinking.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION 53248-102 SSPC offers wide range features. These include overvoltage undervoltage shutdown, overcurrent short circuit protection provided temperature sensing, built transient protection fully optically isolated control status lines. overcurrent short circuit protection achieved through temperature sensing feature controller. Overcurrent sensed through increasing RDS(ON) causing increase power dissipation pass element, which additionally causes further increase RDS(ON). junction temperature approaches +150°C, drive pass element decreased, causing increase. When pass element temperature between +150°C +175°C, drive pass element removed current flow ceases. When control recycled fault condition been removed device will resume operations. Status will indicate fault condition until fault removed.
