LXM1618-03-2x Single Output 2.2W Direct DriveCCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) Inverter Module specifically designed driving backlight lamps. ideal driving typical 3.9" 6.4" panels. maximum output current externally programmable over range 0.5mA steps allow inverter properly match wide array panel lamp current specifications. modules include dimming input that permits brightness control from either voltage source, signal external potentiometer. LXM1618 modules unlike LXM1617 series does provide wide range `burst' mode dimming, rather dimming provided amplitude control output current waveform, this limits potential range typically less than 5:1.
applications requiring wide range dimming, amplitude control results lower ripple input supply reduced potential transient noise generation. Since ratio factor peak output current, using this technique effective ratio increased.
