ULQ2436M multiplies oscillator period 4064. Internal logic automatically cause timeout halved successive timeouts. technology used countdown logic circuitry conventional linear bipolar devices oscillator output power functions. This combination, together with low-cost 8-pin mini-DIP plastic package, results very economical power timer suitable wide variety applications. CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
OSC. external resistor range external capacitor range 0.001 determine frequency internal oscillator. period oscillation nominally RTCT with overall output time period (after digital countdown) 4064 RTCT where seconds. also MODE SELECT. OUTPUT. output open-collector Darlington-connected transistor. output (low) during timing period. external Zener diode used protect output against inductive-load switching transients automotive "load dump". TOGGLE. push-button, momentary-action switch this input toggles timer from state. oscillator countdown circuitry started rising edge input pulse. Internal de-bounce circuitry included. SUPPLY. timer requires supply current applied this through current-limiting resistor (RS). internal volt Zener diode shunt regulator provides stable supply device over wide supply voltage variations. Capacitor used provide decoupling. MODE SELECT. With MODE SELECT connected GROUND, first activation will preset time delay. activations after first will time half initial preset time. This sequence reset each time supply interrupted. With MODE SELECT connected SUPPLY (VREG), timer will repeat preset time delay each time activated.
