General information
PICmicro microcontroller circuitry will drive high power loads, some form switch `relay' required perform task. EB038-00-1 Quad Relay Board designed switch four relays direct response voltage input EB006 Multiprogrammer Board. This turn allows user switch multiple devices (ie, motors) simultaneously.
Relay rating
EB038-00-1 Quad relay board creates interface between upstream e-block apparatus operating higher voltage. Each mounted relays rated 12V/6A contains coil. illustrates layout diagram relay. 1.0. Multi-programmer board (EB-006) with: EB006 Options Power supply PICmicro device (Fast/Slow) (RC/Xtal) Xtal frequency Port Port Port Port Port Test program EB038 Options Patch jumper setting Setting External, 16F877A Don't care Xtal 19.6608MHz

Test procedure
Connect EB038-00-1 (Quad relay board) PORTC multi-programmer ensure jumper link placed nibble PATCH system. Ensure jumper connector strips positioned horizontally across nibble. Connect cable computer. Ensure 13.5V power supply working correctly. Connect wire from +14V screw terminal Multi-programmer terminal Quad Relay Board. Open PPP. Open file RELAYS_2.HEX. Click "Configure PICmicro." icon. Select Chip section click pull down menu select PIC16F877A. This will probably bottom choice. Ensure chip displayed Select Chip section. Click `OK' close window return PPP. Once click "Send PICmicro" icon. window will inform status. status "Program Sent Verified" window will observed screen LEDS should illuminate turn corresponding relays should heard switch (ie, click). Once illuminated change patch setting. EB038 Options Patch jumper setting Setting HIGH nibble
Again, LEDS should illuminate turn corresponding relays should heard switch (ie, click).
LEDs illuminate corresponding relays switch both HIGH nibble settings then board passed test.

Circuit Description
EB038 Quad relay circuit observed Appendix1. From circuit seen that individual type connector pins employed switch specific relays which turn control external circuitry. EB-038 powered from +14V output EB006 Multiprogrammer. Common; Normally Open Normally Closed relay pins attached their corresponding output terminal labelled accordingly. Although relays capable switching mains voltage recommended that user does exceed 24V.
3.3V Operation
This board compatible with upstream boards operating 3.3V.
