Development Setup
Insert batteries into evaluation PCB, observing correct polarity. Insert Wi.DP1203-XXX-EVM-R module into evaluation boards, observing correct orientation (see later this document). correct orientation module with antenna connector closest edge evaluation board. Make sure seated fully correctly. Insert other Wi.DP1203-XXX-EVM-R correct polarity.

Using Software
software supplied with Wi.DP1203-XXX-R Development used read volatile non-volatile registers with Wi.DP1203-XXX-R module. Refer Wi.DP1203-XXX-R Users Manual more information register settings.
4.1. Port Setup Selection
Upon starting Wi.DP1203-XXX-R evaluation software, will presented with port selection dialog box. using interface, make sure that evaluation board already connected computer cable before start software. This will ensure that virtual port which assigned UART bridge controller Windows visible port selection list. first time start Wi.DP1203-XXX-R evaluation software, Baud Rate should left 2400 baud, since this factory default baud rate setting module. Tip: Wi.DP1203-XXX-R evaluation software does auto detect baud rate module. have changed Non-Volatile Data Rate register, will have select baud rate this register when start Wi.DP1203-XXX-R evaluation software.

4.3. Non-Volatile Register Page

4.4. Volatile Register Page

Using Evaluation Software
firmware packages Wi.DP1203-xxx-EVM-Rmodules ports Wi.232DTS(915MHz) Wi.232EUR(868MHz) applications. Wi.DP1203-915-EVM-Rmodules support wide-band narrow-band channels; Wi.DP1203-868-EVM-Rmodules support wideband narrow-band channels, while Wi.DP1203-433-EVM-Rsupports wide-band narrow-band channel. more information register settings available, please refer Wi.232DTS-RUser's Manual.
5.1. Setting Register Values

5.1.1. Transceiver Mode
This selects modulation mode power output both transmitter receiver. mode until "Set Diag" "Set Diag" pressed. "Set Diag" pressed, power output value ignored.
5.1.2. Transmit Diagnostic
Transmit Diagnostic consists four radio buttons which select transmit channel. Low, High quick reference buttons which used select lowest, middle, highest channel. specific channel selected using controls below "Set Diag" button. "Set Diag" button switches transmitter using channel mode selected channel selector transceiver mode controls. 5.1.3. Receive Diagnostic

Notes 6.1. Microsoft/ Hilgraeve HyperTerminal
Wi.DP1203-XXX-R Evaluation used with HyperTerminal receive transmit RS232 data send files using file transfer protocols such ZMODEM. HyperTerminal many other terminal programs assert default. evaluation board, line tied module. 6.2. Loopback Mode
Wi.DP1203-XXX-R operated loopback mode configuring jumpers such link together lines from module remote evaluation board. Using this mode, user send data from their local evaluation board have re-transmitted back them remote evaluation board. maximum baud rate allowed loopback mode 38400 baud point point communications only.
