DESCRIPTION
DS9097U sophisticated RS232 1-Wire adapter, which performs RS232 level conversion actively generates 1-Wire communication signals. Together with adequate TMEX software driver, enables IBMcompatible directly communicate with 1-Wire device connected adapter's RJ-11 port. DB-9 version reads writes non-EPROM 1-Wire device. write EPROM devices, DB-25 version with external power supply required. DS9097U adapters based DS2480B Serial 1-Wire Line Driver chip therefore plug-in replacement DS9097 DS9097E. RXD/TXD Polarity Select input DS2480B tied (noninverting). Free software drivers downloaded from DS9097U communicates with 1-Wire devices regular speed well Overdrive speed. serial port must support data transmission rate 9600bps. Under software control, adapter RS232 data rates 19200, 57600, 115200bps. higher rates recommended communication Overdrive speed with Overdrive capable devices. Since DS9097U operates byte mode, every data byte received from RS232 port generates eight time slots 1-Wire line. 19200bps data rate DS9097UE25 already faster than DS9097 115200bps. Note that there some ports that signal levels less than DB-9 versions this adapter will work with such ports. DS9097U-E25 adapter, however, will function most cases external power supplied. Without EPROM programming, external power anywhere range EPROM programming voltage must case. Before using externally powered DS9097U-E25 with port less than check whether port will damaged input.
