iButton DESCRIPTION
DS1971 256-bit EEPROM iButton rugged read/write data carrier that identifies stores relevant information about product person which attached. This information accessed with minimal hardware: example, single port microcontroller. DS1971 consists factory-lasered registration number that includes unique 48-bit serial number, 8-bit CRC, 8-bit Family Code (14H) plus bits EEPROM. power program read DS1971 derived entirely from 1-Wire communication line. Data transferred serially 1-Wire protocol which requires only single data lead ground return. 48-bit serial number that factorylasered into each DS1971 provides guaranteed unique identity which allows absolute traceability. durable MicroCan package highly resistant harsh environments such dirt, moisture, shock. compact button-shaped profile self-aligning with cup-shaped receptacles, allowing DS1971 used easily human operators automatic equipment. Accessories permit DS1971 mounted printed circuit boards, plastic fobs, photo-ID badges, bracelets, many other objects. Applications include work-in-progress tracking, electronic travelers, access control storage calibration constants.
OVERVIEW
