Designed Maxim's advanced SiGe process, devices achieve high gain ultra-low-noise figure while maximizing input-referred compression point 3rd-order intercept point. MAX2657/MAX2658 operate from +1.6V +3.3V single supply. MAX2657 optimized current. MAX2658 optimized high linearity. shutdown feature device reduces supply current less than 1µA. MAX2657/MAX2658 available very small, lead-free, RoHS-compliant, 0.86mm 1.26mm 0.65mm, wafer-level package (WLP).

MAX2657/MAX2658 LNAs designed Galileo, GLONASS applications. devices feature power-shutdown control mode eliminate need external supply switch. devices achieve high gain ultra-low-noise figure.
Shutdown
MAX2657/MAX2658 include shutdown feature turn entire chip. Apply logic-high SHDN place part active mode, logic-low place part shutdown mode.
Applications Information
properly designed essential microwave circuit. controlled-impedance lines high-frequency inputs outputs. Bypass with decoupling capacitors located close device. long lines, necessary decoupling capacitors. Locate these additional capacitors further away from device package. Proper grounding pins essential. uses topside ground, connect directly pins. board where ground component layer, connect pins board with multiple vias close package.
Input Output Matching
MAX2657/MAX2658 require off-chip input matching. Only inductor series with DC-blocking capacitor needed form input matching circuit. Typical Application Circuit shows recommended input-matching network. These values optimized best simultaneous gain, noise figure, return loss performance. Tables list typical device parameters values. MAX2657/MAX2658 integrate on-chip output matching output, eliminating need external matching components. value input coupling capacitor affects IIP3. smaller coupling capacitor results lower IIP3.
