Getting Started with Compact Flash Demonstrations
Verify that boot mode switch (S2) 01010111 (arranged switch 1-8, ON). This allows bootloader program loaded from card System controller. After bootloader program been loaded, user able select design using push buttons base board. Verify jumper removed from Spartan-3A FPGA Development Board. This allows on-board programmed bus. connect camera FMC-Video card using supplied CAT6 cable, first plug into Camera RJ45 connector (J5) FMC-Video card. Then plug other CAT6 cable into RJ45 connector camera. Caution! While FMC-Video camera connector looks like standard Ethernet connector,
compatible with Ethernet, ONLY works with camera provided with VSK. damage your equipment connecting anything other than camera using provided cable. sure, have correct cable, check that "CAT printed cable covering.
Connect monitor output connector (J3) Spartan-3A FPGA Development Board. Note: display also used connecting cable VGA-to-DVI adapter

Connect source input connector (J8) FMC-Video. Note: source also used connecting cable VGA-to-DVI adapter

Start configure HyperTerminal session host 9600 baud, 8-bit, parity, flow control. will able interact with demo through HyperTerminal real-time. Connect power supply Spartan-3A FPGA Development Board power supply input (J7). Switch power switch (S1) Spartan-3A FPGA Development Board Power Good (DS1) Spartan-3A FPGA Development Board should illuminated, indicating that power available. North (S4) South (S8) push buttons Spartan-3A FPGA Development Board scroll through demo selections choose demo load. should this displayed both monitor display (DS21) Spartan-3A FPGA Development Board. Center (S6) push button load demo. reload bootloader, press Spartan-3A FPGA Development Board push button labeled Reset (S9). Note: S-Video demonstrations, video source used drive should resolution 640x480P60, 800x600P60, 1024x768P60, 720P50, 720P60, 1080P25, 1080P30, 1080I50, 1080I60 proper operation. should output video source shown display.
