APD-250M060 monitor consists character plasma display panel, drive circuitry, display controller, audible alarm, enclosure illuminated control panel. enclosure mounted flat surface suspended configuration. large characters, wide viewing angle high brightness (with auto manual brightness control) provides excellent visibility wide range ambient light conditions from total darkness bright sunlight. Interfacing RS-232D 9600 baud with handshaking FIFO buffer used capture data when display busy). byte format start bit, data bits stop bit. each monitor receives data byte, automatically sends next unit daisy monitors maximum) chain. Returning data from monitors handled same way. front panel bypass switch provided allow operator instantly route input channel output channel event monitor failure. Single byte byte commands allow simplified code generation, accomplish complex display tasking such scrolling inserting lines characters. character generator EPROM which capacity character sets. preprogrammed with ASCII character sets (128 characters each including control codes). Other character sets factory programmed user's special requirements. audio alarm operation under complete control host system. alarm warble tones which user adjusted. volume adjusted operator from front panel control. User controls power, self test, auto/manual brightness adjustment, bypass, alarm volume control alarm acknowledge. APD-250M060 monitor device will operate with host that either type device. Interface through standard DB25, RS-232D connectors.
