Supertex HV850 high voltage electroluminescent (EL) Lamp Driver designed drive lamps 1.5in2, with capacitive values 5.0nF. HV850 converts voltage input high voltage output across lamp. uses charge pump scheme boost input voltage, eliminating need external inductors, diodes, high voltage capacitors, components commonly found conventional topologies. charge pump circuit discharges energy into lamp through high voltage H-bridge. Once voltage reaches regulated limit, turned conserve power. lamp then discharged ground H-bridge changes state allow charge pump charge lamp opposite direction. lamp frequency either external resistor, REL, applying external clock, where clock frequency divided lamp frequency.

Description
Description Input supply voltage pin. external resistor will lamp frequency. lamp frequency inversely proportional resistor value. Enable input pin. Logic high will turn device external circuit added delayed turn off. Logic will turn device only 3.4V 4.2V. lower than 3.4V, logic will turn device OFF. Logic input pin. external logic clock applied this used lamp frequency (see Figure This useful applications requiring lamp synchronized system clock. Connect ground when use. Logic input pin. Logic high will cause lamp frequency CLKIN input. Logic will cause lamp frequency external resistor. ground pin. lamp driver output pin. lamp connected across terminals. lamp driver output pin. lamp connected across terminals.
