Note When capacitance large, capacitor discharge completely, causing made shorter than value. this problem, either connect high speed diode (DS442) between pin2 (anode side) pin5 (cathode side) ensure adequate discharge time using values capacitors such that Cin>Cd. Note pull-up resistor connected reset output externally, possible cause sink current flow.
Reset Operation
Sample Application Circuit (Direct battery backup)
Since leakage current output (pin5) L78LR05 less, backup circuit implemented connectiong electric double layer capacitor (super capacitor NEC, gold capacitor Matsushita Electric) battery direct output pin.
