DESCRIPTION
UC5602 compatible version predecessor, UC5601, targeted high volume applications which require active termination, high performance UC5601. major differences relaxed output current termination tolerances, absence side clamps. UC5602 provides lines active termination SCSI (Small Computer Systems Interface) parallel bus. SCSI-2 standard recommends active termination both ends cable segment, SCSI-3 will make requirement. UC5602 provides disconnect feature which, when opened driven high, will disconnect terminating resistors, disables regulator; greatly reducing standby power. output channels remain high impedance even without Termpwr applied. Internal circuit trimming utilized, first trim impedance tolerance; then most importantly, trim output current tolerance, close SCSI possible, which maximizes noise margin fast SCSI operation. Other features include thermal shutdown, current limit, 40mA active negation sink current capability. This device offered thermal resistance versions industry standard wide body SOIC PLCC, well plastic package.
