Microphone Input
This input provides programmable gain microphone signal pass filtering avoid aliasing before signal converted into digital format. microphone connected this device either differentially single-ended. programmable gain amplifier provides four selectable gain settings from
speaker driver intended buffer drive impedance speaker load with signal selected input. microphone input, line input, transmit output signal selected speaker output. speaker driver enabled using SpkOEn signal. speaker driver very high input impedance, while line driver moderate input impedance. Thus speaker driver does introduce gain loss when interfaced nominal load.
Line Input
This input provides pass filtering avoid aliasing before signal converted into digital format. line input single-ended coupled into device. filter structure realizes pole filter. gain line input fixed input impedance 150K minimum. Either Line input Microphone input both selected using LineIEn MicEn control signals.
Line Output
main purpose line output stage buffer signal drive impedance line load with signal selected input. microphone input, line input, speaker output selected output. line driver provides single-ended output. Since internal signals differential, line driver provides differential single-ended conversion. load attenuation line driver output controlled [1:0] lines steps line driver output tri-stated using control signal LineOEn.

signal level anti-aliasing filters high 3.2V avoid potential overload problem, attenuation provided input. This enabled using Gain control. second order sigma-delta type which samples rate between 1.024 2.048 produce programmable baseband sample, depending decimation ratio programmed decimation filter clock value. option exists disable biquad filter this case output available sample rate. biquad filter also enabled disabled.
Serial Interface
codec provides serial digital interfaces communication with DSP. Depending upon configuration used communicate with DSP, clock signals either provided modes serial interface available: Primary Secondary. first mode used with Primary which utilizes line codec second mode used with Secondary which utilizes voice codec. Both modes used support speakerphone option. Mode selection made follows:
