LM118 series precision high speed operational amplifiers designed applications requiring wide bandwidth high slew rate. They feature factor increase speed over general purpose devices without sacrificing performance. LM118 series internal unity gain frequency compensation. This considerably simplifies application since external components necessary operation. However, unlike most internally compensated amplifiers, external frequency compensation added optimum performance. inverting applications, feedforward compensation will boost slew rate over 150V/µs almost double bandwidth. Overcompensation used with amplifier greater stability when maximum bandwidth needed.
