General Description
Sentron's magnetic angular sensor 2SA-10 detects absolute angular position small magnet that positioned above device surface. 2SA-10 integrated combination CMOS Hall circuit thin ferromagnetic disk. CMOS circuit contains pairs Hall-elements each directions parallel with chip surface ferromagnetic disk amplifies external magnetic field concentrates Hall elements. 2SA-10 ideally suited rotary position sensing harsh automotive industrial environments. produces linear, ratio-metric output voltages proportional sine cosine function angle applied magnetic field parallel chip surface. circuit fabricated using standard CMOS process ferromagnetic disk added simple post-processing step. monolithic device incorporates Hall elements, offset cancellation circuitry, current source, chopper stabilized amplification circuitry, parameter programming capability. dynamic offset cancellation offset voltage caused temperature variations, packaging stress others strongly reduced. result, device extremely stable signal output, immune mechanical stress virtually immune temperature cycling. Therefore, circuit features wide application range very high accuracy.

Linear Position Sensor

When magnet moves parallel plane, magnetic field sensor rotates. output signal 2SA-10 behaves like X*B/r^2 output signal like Y*B/r^2 with being coordinates magnet with respect sensor, being field strength sensor being distance between magnet sensor. magnet moves parallel x-axis, coordinate constant ratio Vx/Vy X/const. very linear measure position magnet. Using second 2SA-10 sensor principle extended very linear two-dimensional position sensing.
