Description
Name LED3~LED0 Description driver output ports. This CMOS output maximum driving current +20mA. Connected external resistor oscillator circuit. Data output pin, output serial data falling edge shift clock, starting from lower bit. This N-ch open-drain output pin. Data input pin, input serial data rising edge shift clock, starting from lower bit. Clock input pin. Reads serial data rising edge, outputs data falling edge. Initializes serial interface rising falling edge HT16515. Then waits receive command. Data input after fallen processed, current processing stopped, serial interface initialized. While high, ignored. Functional Description
Display Display Mode static display stores data transmitted from external device HT16515 through serial interface. contents directly mapped contents driver. Data accessed through data setting, address setting display control commands. assigned addresses 8-bit unit follows:
data each stored illustrated below, read with read command, starting from least significant bit.
Port port CMOS output configuration. Data written port with write command, starting from least significant bit. application (see application circuits), user adopts internal NMOS device driver component connecting VDD. When this port corresponding lights when turns off. data bits through ignored.
Dimming Control HT16515 provides 8-step dimmer function display controlling 3-bit binary command code. full pulse width grid signal divided into uniform sections (pulse width modulation) technology. uniform sections available form 8-step dimmer 3-bit binary code. 8-step dimmer includes 1/16, 2/16, 4/16, 10/16, 11/16, 12/16, 13/16 14/16. 1/16 pulse width indicates minimum lightness. 14/16 pulse width represents maximum lightness (Refer display control command). Matrix Key-Input Data Storage matrix scans series states each level strobe signal (Seg1/K1~Seg16/K16) output HT16515. strobe signal outputs time-multiplexed signals from Seg1/K1~Seg16/K16. states inputs sampled strobe signal Seg1/K1~Seg16/K16 latched into register. matrix made matrix, shown below.
Commands Commands display mode status driver. first byte input HT16515 through after fallen, regarded command. high while commands/data transmitted, serial communication initialized, commands/ data being transmitted valid (however, commands/data previously transmitted remains valid).
Display mode setting commands
These commands initialize HT16515 select number segments number grids (1/4~1/12 duty, segments). When these commands executed, display forcibly turned off, scanning also stopped. resume display, display command must executed. same mode selected, nothing happens.
