CAMDs PRN102/112 Dual Termination Networks offer high integration performance miniature QSOP SOIC package, which saves critical board area provides manufacturing cost reliability efficiencies.
Peripheral devices like disk drives, printers, ROMs connected host through special called SCSI (Small Computer System Interface). fast edge rated signals that transmitted through SCSI cable generate ringing bus. This will slow down communication between host peripherals. SCSI standard recommends proper resistor termination host peripheral locations eliminate transmission line effects.
thin film resistor networks? terminating resistor used reduce eliminate unwanted reflections transmission line. perform this function only when resistance value matches characteristic impedance transmission line. resistors used terminating transmission lines should noiseless, stable functional high frequencies. Unlike thin film-based resistor networks, conventional thick film resistors used terminating transmission lines stable over temperature time impose system performance limitations very high frequencies.
