DESCRIPTION
Symbol CONTROL Descriptions Control signal input pin. turn switch turn switch off. less, chip STBY state current consumption less than1µA. Slow start setting pin. Used adjust switch on/off timing. external capacitance delay operation. Leave open when use. open mode voltages present. Care should taken mounting prevent leak current generation because high impedance required. Current limit setting pin. limit current level connecting this external resistance. this connected GND, current limit applied. Switch input pin. voltage monitoring function enables switch operation higher. voltage drops lower switch operation disabled. Switch output pin. discharge function will immediately discharge capacitance charge connected when switch position resistance (with connected terminal. Control power supply input pin. This supplies power control circuit. input voltage level must stable. Ground pin. External signal pin. When switch mode this normally outputs level signal, changes level when overcurrent, overheating, UVLO condition detected. When switch mode this signal output level times. This open drain connection, should pulled high potential using resistance.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
Current Limit Setting
MB3841 provides highly accurate switching current setting, range ±20% (with limit setting current placing resistance between CURRENT pins. Because setting dependent voltage, important that appropriate resistance connected pin. following approximation formula used calculate limit setting when details, "RLIM Limit Current Characteristics" 7450 (RLIM[])1.1
When switch limit level exceeded, switch turns then latch protect device. same time output signal goes level notify external systems. When level signal applied CONTROL switch, latch released, that normal operation resumed next level signal CONTROL switch. Thermal Shutdown MB3841 thermal shutdown function which turns switch sets latch protect device when junction temperature exceeds 125°C. same time output signal goes level notify external systems. When level signal applied CONTROL switch, latch released,so that normal operation resumed next level signal CONTROL switch. Slow Start on/off switching time MB3841 delayed applying capacitance between pins. Controlling time soften surge current load side capacitance when power turned (tON, tOff measured VOUT.) following approximation formula used time when details, "Css (SS) Characteristics" 0.87 10-3 CSS[pF] [msec] DISCHARGE MB3841 DISCHARGE function that immediately discharges electric charge load side when switch turned off.

USAGE PRECAUTION
Never settings exceeding maximum rated conditions.
Exceeding maximum rated conditions cause permanent damage LSI. Also, recommended that recommended operating conditions observed normal use. Exceeding recommended operating conditions adversely affect reliability.
this device within recommended operating conditions.
Recommended operating conditions values within which normal operation warranted. Standard electrical characteristics warranted within range recommended operating conditions within listed conditions each parameter.
Printed circuit board ground lines should with consideration common impedance. Take appropriate static electricity measures.
Containers semiconductor materials should have anti-static protection made conductive material. After mounting, printed circuit boards should stored shipped conductive bags containers. Work platforms, tools, instruments should properly grounded. Working personnel should grounded with resistance between body ground.
apply negative voltages.
negative voltages below -0.3 create parasitic transistors lines, which cause abnormal operation.
