THROUGH-HOLE SOLDERING INFORMATION
These devices intended wave soldering manual soldering. They intended subject surface mount processes under circumstances. normal wave soldering process used with these devices where device subjected maximum wave temperature 260°C period more than seconds. Within this time temperature range, integrity device's plastic body will compromised internal temperatures within converter will exceed 175°C. APPLICATION NOTES
SHORT CIRCUIT PROTECTION maintain cost, PWR40xxC Series provides limited shortcircuit protection. protect against continuous short circuits, fuse required. recommended that fuse placed series with input converter. required will vary with input voltage.
Input Voltage
OUTPUT POWER PWR40xxC series designed meet power requirements nature unregulated power supplies, higher-thanrated output voltage will result when less-than-rated power used (see Typical Performance Curves). This series been designed from load without derating +70°C. UNBALANCED LOADS Unbalanced loads used dual output models with each side sourcing 200mA long total power more than With unbalanced load, output voltages will track within each other. OUTPUT NOISE output noise reduced less than 50mVp-p adding tantalum capacitor across each output.
