QUARTZ
Quartz formed from silicon oxygen. grows naturally cultured autoclaves under high pressure heat. Most quartz used today crystal manufacturers cultured that purity quality controlled. Quartz used Frequency Control Products because piezoelectric properties.
PIEZOELECTRIC EFFECT
When pressure applied quartz crystal, voltage generated. voltage produces mechanical motion vibration. frequency these vibrations measured hertz.
OPERATING MODES
crystal operate circuit modes, series parallel. SERIES RESONANCE: When crystal operated series resonance appears resistive load capacitor required. PARALLEL MODE: Crystals operated this mode appear inductive circuit. load capacitor must specified crystal operate proper frequency. Typical values load capacitors
FREQUENCY STABILITY

FUNDAMENTAL OVERTONE CRYSTALS
