APPLICATIONS Simplifies system wiring
INTRODUCTION VMIACC-AD242X series cable adapter boards used route signals from Digital mounting racks from OPTO Gordos, Crydom. This will simplify system wiring, which will reduce wiring errors. Since VMIC digital boards handle more channels than what these mounting racks can, cables split between racks VMIC digital board. However, rack signals routed VMIC digital board systematic order. Wherever possible, channel assignments same module positions. Thus, channel VMIC board goes Module mounting racks; however, many VMIC boards have more than channels more connectors. example, VMIVME-2528 four connectors connect four PB32DEC eight PB16H mounting racks. Figure shows channel assignments typical system using VMIVME-2528 four PB32DEC mounting racks. Figure shows part system where 16-channel mounting rack (PB16H) connected half connector that goes 64-channel VMIC board. Figure also shows support equipment system needs, such rack power supply. This terminal could mainframe computer with program floor system execute. matter program gets loaded into VMEbus chassis, VMEbus communicates with floor sensors controls OPTO modules installed PB32DEC backplanes located throughout floor. modules have sensors connected screw terminals. modules then route their backplane signals front panel connector. adapter board (AD2421) plugs onto backplane. 64-conductor cable with connector plugs into header adapter board then appropriate VMEbus board VMEbus chassis.
