FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS Board Function: This board optically coupled inputs optically coupled outputs. Both outputs inputs have Built-in-Test capability provide sustained system isolation VMEbus backplane. Compliance: This board complies with VMEbus specification ANSI/IEEE 1014-1987 with following mnemonics: A24/A16, D32/D16/D08(EO) Slave with following Address Modifiers: 3D,39/2D,29. Built-in-Test: VMIVME-2536 supports both on-line off-line Built-in-Test (BIT). Inputs into test mode setting Control Status Register (CSR). While test mode, data placed on-board test registers read through input ports instead field data. test registers same address input data ports, allowing testing achieved simply writing reading from input data ports. This feature used both on-line off-line testing. contents Output Data Registers read anytime, thereby supporting on-line testing. outputs into off-line test mode setting CSR. off-line test mode, open-collector outputs disabled. Data patterns then written read from Output Registers test purposes without affecting outputs. powerup reset, board placed test mode. Output Data Registers should initialized prior being on-line avoid undetermined states. Addressing Scheme: board organized 8-bit ports.
