General Description
VSC7802/VSC7805 series integrated Photodetector/Transimpedance Amplifiers provide highly integrated solution converting light from fiber optic communications channel into differential output voltage. benefits Vitesse Semiconductor's Gallium Arsenide H-GaAs-III process fully utilized provide very high bandwidth noise product with large optically active area easy alignment. sensitivity, duty cycle distortion jitter meet exceed Fibre Channel application requirements. Parts available either form flat-windowed packages. using integrated (Metal-Semiconductor-Metal) photodetector with integrated transimpedance amplifier, input capacitance lowered which allows larger optically active area than discrete photodetectors. Integration also allows superior tracking over process, temperature voltage between photodetector amplifier, resulting higher performance. These parts easily used developing Fibre Channel Electro-Optic Receivers which exhibit very high performance ease use.
