SC-691 Block Diagram 16-Bit Microprocessor 10-Bit 640-words TIMER TIMER PLLM SLAVE LOGIC COMPARATOR This device supports several speech synthesis algorithms that permit tradeoffs meet price performance requirements various markets. SC-691 implements unique feature playing single channel music along with speech data concurrently. This feature allows user speak certain phrase with single channel music background. SC-691 optimized support 4-bit wide data transfer protocol. device status bits three control bits that control communication protocol between master slave. SC-691 also (command/data) which differentiates between command speech data feeding into slave. 4-bit mode, various commands sent slave during speech perform various tasks. SC-691 also supports 8-bit wide data transfer support commands disabled during speaking-a-phrase. When speaking-a-phrase 8-bit mode complete, SC-691 switches back 4-bit mode receive next command.
