C/10 Detection (Near End-of-Charge) LTC4052 includes comparator monitor duty cycle GATE detect when battery nearing full charge. When duty cycle falls below 10%, comparator trips turns N-MOSFET CHRG switches weak (40µA) current source ground. 40µA turns when timer terminates charge cycle. C/10 detection disabled trickle charge mode. Internal Pass Transistor N-channel MOSFET (0.35) pass transistor included LTC4052. gate MOSFET controlled internal charge pump. body connected ground instead source terminal. There body diode from back pin; therefore, blocking diode required series with battery input supply.
