What IntelliBusProtocol?
IntelliBus Boeing-developed serial databus communication standard designed network sensors, actuators, subsystems while providing simplicity necessary miniature smart sensors, latency needed flight controls, time determinism required data analysis, distance industrial control. IntelliBus permits integration signal conditioning, analog-to-digital conversion, digital interfacing into low-cost package that installed sensor, actuator, interface module, system. Aeroflex Colorado Springs (Aeroflex) licensed IntelliBus standard market products 2004. IntelliBus overhead that enables maximum data transmittal, accommodates both sensors actuators monitoring control, incorporates fault avoidance features. Additionally, IntelliBus accommodates high sensor count (over 500), allows synchronization between multiple busses, simultaneous sampling capability, isochronous transmission with jitter (+/- 500ps). IntelliBus time deterministic enables high data rates (30, Mbps) while maintaining cost-per-node. Aeroflex developed Network System product family consisting Network Interface Controller (NIC) Network Device Interface (NDI) address variety communication control network requirements Factory Floor Automation In-Vehicle Health Monitoring fields. Features include: standard functions services that locate, configure, operate wide range transducer devices mechanism acquire distribute data: Synchronously multiple sample rates Simultaneously with minimal acquisition jitter Minimal network latency without strict constraints communication peripheral device Support device (node) memory containing node information automatic peripheral configuration boot) Multi-cast connectivity large number peripheral devices mechanism node filter trap network data Low-overhead time-deterministic device-todevice data transfers Data buffering minimize network latency Low-cost, compliant physical layer: easymaintenance twisted-pair copper Capable Mbps data rate Scalable hardware, firmware software Physical Data Link layers (OSI layers 1-2) product features listed above, twisted pair copper wiring utilized with M-LVDS (Multipoint-LowVoltage Differential Signaling) data transceivers high-speed Mbps) signaling, RS-485 transceivers lower speed applications.
