INTRODUCTION This specification defines design performance characteristics single-phase, universal input, power factor corrected, multiple output, 125-watt open frame switch mode power supply. includes information regarding operational details, cooling requirements, signal specifications power supply. INPUT LINE REQUIREMENTS following table defines voltage frequency line inputs power supply. power supply capable supplying full-rated power continuous operation throughout specified ranges voltages frequencies. power supply will automatically recover from power loss shall capable startup under peak loading 90VAC.

OUTPUT CHARACTERISTICS Ripple/Noise
Ripple noise defined periodic random signals over frequency band 10Hz 20MHz. Measurements made with oscilloscope with least 20MHz bandwidth. Outputs should bypassed connector with 0.1µF ceramic disk capacitor 10µF tantalum capacitor simulate system loading. Ripple noise shall exceed limits specified following table.

OUTPUT PROTECTION Reset After Shutdown power supply latches because fault condition outputs, power supply will return normal operation only after fault removed; power supply will then restart automatically after seconds. Short-Circuit Protection short circuit defined impedance <0.1ohm placed between return output. short circuit will cause damage power supply will cause shutdown. power supply will attempt restart every seconds until short-circuit condition removed. After removal short circuit, power supply will maintain normal operations.
short circuit -12V output quad triple models will cause power supply shut down; however, after short circuit removed, -12V output will resume normal operation. same short circuit characteristic applies auxiliary +12V output dual output models.
Load Operation power supply will operate with load outputs with damage hazardous condition. power supply will remain stable restart normally after application loads.
CAUTION
load cable been removed, turn mains switch reconnect loads.
Overcurrent Protection Overload currents applied each tested output will cause output trip before reaching exceeding SELV level 240VA. testing purposes overload current should ramped minimum rate 10A/s starting from full load.
OUTPUT BYPASS
