With Terminal Blocks Model 232CLDR
232CLDR rail mountable version B&B's RS-232 current loop converter. This unit optically isolated 20mA transmit loop optically isolated 20mA receive loop. Each loop either "Active" "Passive". When "Active" isolated 20mA current supplied each loop (transmit receive). Only single power supply between 10VDC 30VDC required power converter both current loops. Terminal block RS-232 (from 232CLDR) terminal block RS-232 232CLDR). 232CLDR communicate maximum baud rate 19.2K baud. 20mA current loop suitable distances 2000 (600 meters) data rates 19.2K baud with careful attention interface design. Below several figures that show different ways test configure 232CLDR.

Active Passive 232CLDR active passive flip switch. Figures show four different ways configure 232CLDR using PC's. will need open hood 232CLDR. open 232CLDR remove side panel using flat blade screwdriver. Push flat blade screwdriver under panel that "MODEL 232CLDR" label panel off. This panel will simply snap (and on). two-position dipswitch located printed circuit board. Tables (Transmit Receive respectively) shown below show connection configurations active passive modes. have separate current loop device (printer, scale, CNC, etc.) have check your device documentation configured active passive. know your device active passive simply check with voltmeter. this voltmeter Volts positive (red) lead black (negative) lead current loop device. voltage displayed voltmeter your device active. voltage appears your device passive.
