General Description
Pilot MC3410 single-axis, single chip motion processor microstepping motion control ideal embedded systems industrial control, automation, robotic applications. chip 132-pin device, surface mount CMOS technology powered volts. motion processor driven host microprocessor through asynchronous bi-directional serial port, giving users ability offload resource intensive motion control functions from application's host. MC3410 outputs DAC-compatible motor command signal needed directly drive windings stepping motor. programmable microstepping rate specified designate desired number microsteps full step, from 256. chip operates open loop mode where motor command driven from output trajectory generator. Optional encoder feedback provides on-the-fly motor stall detection allows chip detect when stepping motor lost steps during motion. With over commands, PMD's instructions offers flexibility versatility board designers software application programmers. Instructions used initialize control motion processor.
