Vaisala Ultrasonic Wind Sensor WS425 gives meteorologists alternative vane mechanical sensors. With continuous data availability, WS425 also ideal variety wind measurement applications aviation, road railway safety energy production.
Measurement based ultrasound
WS425 uses ultrasound determine horizontal wind speed direction. measurement based transit time, time takes ultrasound travel from transducer another, depending wind speed. transit time measured both directions pair transducer heads. Using measurements each three ultrasonic paths angles each other, WS425 computes wind speed direction. wind measurements calculated that completely eliminates effects altitude, temperature humidity.
Standard heated models
