ColorSight photoelectric sensor true color recognition sensor designed industrial use. Unlike sensors which measure only grayscale contrast between target background, ColorSight provides true color measurement capability. Using red, green, blue light sources, accurate color match made. ColorSight also easy use. sensor ability learn target color through single pushbutton. This self-teach feature also activated remotely from terminal. Self-Teach Color Recognition Operation
ColorSight photoelectric sensor configured meet wide variety industrial applications. Numerous degrees color discrimination selected along with match/no-match, time delay, gating input, remote learn options. sensor factory configured indicated table below. These settings place ColorSight mode operation which will suit most applications. application requires different arrangement sensor should configured according this table. Since applications will require same level color discrimination, ColorSight offers distinctly different modes operation-color only color plus intensity (C+I). color only mode, ColorSight will measure proportions values (hue chroma), received sensor. This mode useful applications where moderate changes target color expected. When color plus intensity mode selected, absolute values hue, chroma, value will measured. This mode intended applications where high level color discrimination required. Along with these operating modes, ColorSight also provides user with ability adjust sampling rate. factory default places sensor Averaging Mode, which will cause sensor take multiple samples target being sensed. This setting intended textured target surfaces such fabric. Single mode takes single sample best suited targets with smooth surface. ColorSight self-teach. That target color "learned" when LEARN button depressed. This function also activated from remote location using 24VDC output from terminal. ColorSight provides acknowledgement successful learn providing output over separate lead. Provisions made connection second sensor, which intended serve gate ColorSight output. When selected, ColorSight output will only activate when both gate target match made. ColorSight intended used with Allen-Bradley #60-2694 lensed fiber optic cable. This cable provides best performance applications which require high levels color discrimination. ColorSight also compatible with other glass fiber optic cables, although sensing distance spot size will vary.
