Current mode control scheme provides excellent line load regulation. Operation best understood referring Figure start each oscillator cycle, latch external power switch (see Figure turns switch current will increase linearly. voltage external sense resistor (see Figure4), connected from GND, proportional switch current. This voltage added stabilizing ramp result into non-inversion input comparator. When this non-inversion input voltage exceeds inversion input voltage comparator which output voltage error amplifier latch reset external power switch turns off. voltage level inversion input comparator sets peak current level keep output voltage regulation. This voltage level amplified signal voltage difference between feedback voltage reference voltage 0.5V. constant output current provided this operation mode. Input Under-Voltage Detector AP3039 contains Under Voltage Lock (UVLO) circuit. resistors connected from UVLO ground respectively (see Figure resistor divider must designed such that voltage UVLO higher than 1.25V when desired operating range. voltage below under voltage threshold, functions AP3039 disabled, system will remain power standby state. UVLO hysteresis accomplished through internal current source which switched current into impedance set-point divider. When UVLO threshold exceeded, current source activated instantly raise voltage UVLO pin.
