Instructions
Input: Connect these pins standard 120V line voltage outlet voltage between 200V). two-wire cable without ground connection. Note: Apply line voltage last step power string, after connect demo board! disconnected string would damage board, however advisable. ATTENTION: demo board connected LEDs isolated from line voltage. None demo board terminals galvanic isolated from line voltage. measuring instruments, scopes meters must isolated from ground (floating) using isolating transformers. OUTPUT: These terminals output terminals converter must connected string. Positive-marked connected positive (anode) terminal string, Negative-marked connected negative (cathode) terminal. Note: Both terminals will have active live voltage when input line applied! VDD: This connected HV9910B. typical voltage 7.6V. This voltage used drive additional circuitry required. Please datasheet regarding output current capability pin. GND: This connected Ground connection buck converter. PWMD: This terminal used either enable/disable converter apply dimming signal. just enable converter, connect PWMD pin. Disconnecting PWMD will cause circuit stop. dimming light achieved turning converter with frequency 50Hz 1000Hz logic level signal. Changing Duty Ratio signal changes effective average current LEDs, changing light emission. Note: case dimming, PWMD should connected pin. Also, signal generator device applying signal PWMD must isolated from input mains. connected negative output. Connect input input terminals (there polarity considered). Short PWMD VDD. Apply 120VAC input terminals string should start glow. ammeter connected series with LEDs measure output current. current level then changed adjusting trimming potentiometer. Note: Make sure string fully functional. current limited source test string. 40V/300mA power supply should good solution. Open Test After initial test functionality, demo board tested open string. test non-destructive time restricted. Disconnect LEDs power demo. There will light emission current withdrawn from line will very low. There switching switching node. Linear Dimming Test Gradual change current LEDs possible using trimming potentiometer placed demo board.
