DESCRIPTION
MFLHP Series28 volt DC/DC converters rated watts output power over -55° +100°C temperature range with nominal input. dual output models, rated output power drawn from either positive negative outputs. Current sharing allows units paralleled total power watts. welded, hermetically sealed package only 3.005 1.505 0.400 inches, giving series overall power density watts cubic inch.
INHIBIT
MFLHP Series converters have compatible inhibit terminals (INH1 INH2) that used disable power conversion, resulting very quiescent input current. open collector compatible (<0.8 volts) required between INH1 (pin Input Common (pin inhibit converter. open collector compatible (<0.5 volts) required between INH2 (pin Output Common (pin inhibit converter. application intermediate voltages these pins (1.5 10.5 volts) should avoided.
DESIGN MFLHP Series converters switching regulators that quasi-square wave, single ended forward converter design with constant switching frequency kHz. Isolation between input output circuits provided with transformer forward path wide bandwidth magnetic coupling feedback control loop. MFLHP Series uses unique dual loop feedback technique that controls output current with inner feedback loop output voltage with cascaded voltage mode feedback loop. additional secondary current mode feedback loop improves transient response manner similar primary current mode control allows ease paralleling. Tight load regulation achieved through wide-bandwidth magnetic feedback circuit. output voltage single MFLHP models easily trimmed adding external resistor. (See Figure voltage changes with different resistor values.)
CURRENT SHARING PARALLEL OPERATION
Multiple MFLHP converters used parallel drive common load (see Figure this mode operation load current shared three MFLHP converters. current sharing mode, MFLHP converter designated master. SLAVE (pin master left unconnected MSTR/INH2 (pin master connected SLAVE (pin slave units. units designated slaves have MSTR/INH2 (pin connected (pin Figure shows typical setup three units parallel.
