DESCRIPTION
Interpoint's MK200Series DC/DC converters deliver watts output power from industry standard half-brick package. converters operate from -55°C +125°C satisfy requirements military, aerospace, other high-rel applications. many single output converters paralleled watts output power. wide input voltage range provides full output power, while extended input range available with derated output power operation from VDC. Single dual models deliver outputs ±12, VDC.
REMOTE SENSE TRIM
Remote sense terminals connected directly your load compensate line loss high power (see Figure models also have trim function adjust output voltage. dual models, Vout2 adjustable output. output voltage adjusted down high 110%. Refer Figures connection diagrams Table resistor values.
INHIBIT SYNCHRONIZATION
inhibit synchronization terminal (pin used synchronize MK200 Series converters system clock another converter. also used inhibit converter. referenced input common inhibited through open collector interface. When inhibited, converter's input current typically while inhibit terminal draws less. Multiple units synchronized enhance your system's performance. Refer Figure connection diagram notes.
CONVERTER DESIGN
MK200 Series DC/DC converters combines dualphase/phase-shifted technology with single-ended forward conversion topology. This technology boosts power output without increases size greatly reduces output noise while enhancing power density efficiency converter. Packaged module, converters with parallel power paths operate same frequency phase shifted from each other 180°. result conversion frequency twice switching frequency which reduces switching noise allows increased power density. dual converter design allows dual models used polarity: positive outputs negative outputs negative positive output MK200 Series converters' planar magnetics printed conductors instead traditional wire wound magnetics eliminate errors that occur winding provide 100% reproducibility ensure predictable operation converter. Film capacitors input deliver another advantage with their (Equivalent Series Resistance) extremely (Equivalent Series Inductance).
PROTECTION Protection features include soft start, undervoltage lockout short circuit protection. controlling start-up time, soft start minimizes overshoot large start-up current draw. Undervoltage lockout, which typically occurs VDC, prevents possible "hiccup" operation input voltages. Short circuit protection limits short circuit current maximum 190% full load output current.
PACKAGING
Six-sided metal construction provides shielding heat dissipation industry standard half-brick package 2.405 2.285 0.465 inches (61.09 58.04 11.81 mm). Internal silicon components hermetically sealed.
