These devices feature very quiescent current 0.3mA less when supplying 10mA loads. This unique characteristic extremely input-output differential required proper regulation (0.25V output currents 100mA) make AMS3102 ideal standby power systems. Internal circuitry AMS3102 protected from input fault conditions caused reverse battery installation input voltages that exceed maximum rated input voltage. During line transients, such load dump (40V) when input voltage regulator momentarily exceed specified maximum operating voltage, regulator will automatically shut down protect both internal circuits load.
