DIGITAL PROPORTIONAL REMOTE CONTROLLER General Description
ATS308T/RX8 ATS308R pair CMOS LSIs designed remote controlled applications. ATS308T encoder ATS308R decoder. ATS308T/RX8 ATS308R provide independent analog proportional channels independent digital channels. analog proportional channels only control two-wheel-drive (2WD) car's motions Forward&Backward speed independent channel Left&Right steering angle another independent channel, also control four-wheel-drive (4WD) car's motions another motors. digital channels provide on-off motion designs, such designs sound, light motor controller Transmitter receiver made with simple economic solution that modulation super regenerative demodulation used. ATS308T/RX8 ATS308R easy yield debug steering servo. ATS308T particular selective function. When open(floating), encoder/decoder used controlling electrical tank independent channels operation mode. when pulled down GND, they used controlling tank Monster truck (4WD) channels cooperative operation mode. ATS308T built with auto Power-OFF function. When digital analog channels input effective, ATS308T will wake will continuously send outputs used wireless (Non-Carrier) infrared (Carrier) applications respectively. Analog Channel Inputs ATS308T
ATS308T provides independent analog channels (Ch1 Ch2) offset adjustment inputs (Offset1 Offset2) every analog channel. There usable steps totally each channel besides steps dead band, steps both sides dead band course. Considering offset adjustment analog channels, Offset1 (for Ch1) Offset2 (For Ch2) inputs provided moving channel input voltage range down whole, thereby inputs being dead band.

When signal come into input that from amplifies circuit, ATS308R will decode encoded signal, produce corresponding outputs. input voltage equal above than 1.7V, will High Logic will hold Logic Level. Also input voltage equal less than 1.0V, will High Logic will hold Logic Level. others input situations ATS308T, duty ratio signal will change linearly. signal period 8ms(when oscillator's frequency 128KHz), first step's duty 12.5%, then increase 6.25% ratio step step, until High Logic. course output active when another match inactive (Low logic).

From figure above, easy find that dead band input move from position another position. When ATS308T's analog input dead band, then adjust input voltage until there active outputs LEFT RIGHT, just measurement input voltage shows that voltage about 1.35V(two steps' dead band) (actual voltage range depending actual device reference voltage). Notice that analog channel input range absolutely meet requirements voltage that generated variable resistor (2.7V reference used). resistor's Total-RotationAngle value effective input range must above 50°. input rotation angle less than 50°, some steps should losing. resolve problem? Using external higher reference Voltage good way.
