DESCRIPTION
SigmaTel's STAC9721/23 general-purpose 18-bit stereo, full duplex, audio codec that conforms analog component specification AC'97 (Audio Codec Component Specification Rev. 2.1). STAC9721/23 incorporates SigmaTel's proprietary technology achieve excess DACs, ADCs, mixer integrated with analog I/Os, which include four analog line-level stereo inputs, analog line-level mono inputs, stereo outputs, mono output channel. Also included SigmaTel's stereo enhancement (SS3D), extra true line-level headphones speaker amplifiers. STAC9721/23 used secondary codec, with STAC9704/ 07/21/23 4-channel STAC9708 primary, multiple codec configurations conforming AC'97 Rev. specification. This configuration provide six-channel output, providing AC-3 playback applications. STAC9721/23 communicates five-wire ACLink interface with AC-Link capable controller advanced core logic chip-set. Packaged AC'97 compliant 48-pin TQFP, STAC9721/23 placed motherboards, daughter boards, AMR, CMR, cards PCMCIA cards.
