ANALOG-BOARD Meter Application
Introduction
Electronic utility meters becoming commonplace measuring consumption electricity, water, other forms energy. reading such meters personnel unacceptably inconvenient costly. This stimulated development remote bi-directional link between users central unit; such system offers possibility near-continuous measurement, allows supplier change tariffs connect disconnect users. METER-BUS meets existing anticipated future requirements such system, achieved widespread acceptance standardisation. Texas Instruments developed special driver receiver METER-BUS user meters (slaves), TSS721 Transceiver. This powered METER-BUS, that local battery necessary. also does take power from test measurement equipment. corresponding analog board been developed central unit. ensure compatibility, this analog board been conceived such that TSS721 powered with This applications proposal concerned primarily with analog part central unit; only basic functions interface explained.
Warning: This equipment intended laboratory test environment only. generates, uses radiate radio frequency energy been tested compliance with limits computing devices pursuant subpart rules, which designed provide reasonable protection against radio frequency interference. Operation this equipment other environments cause interference with radio communications, which case user expense will required take whatever measures required correct this interference.
