20-pin connector Signals necessary operation using microcontroller connected 20-pin connector. Connector assignment follows:
Connector Signal CPU/STD I0/SW0 I1/SW1 I2/SW2 I3/A0 I4/A1 Connector Signal I5/A2 XT/CR RESET ST/RND OSC3 NAR/BUSY
Address setting switch When used stand-alone mode, select playback word using this switch. this switch correspond A0-A2 binary data. When microcontroller used, switch Frequency check (OSC3) This used monitor oscillation frequency oscillation. Variable resistor (VR2) adjusting frequency oscillation. This variable resistor change frequency oscillation. When resistor turned clockwise, frequency decreases. When resistor turned counterclockwise, frequency increases. frequency monitored check Adjust oscillation frequency normally. Speaker output volume (VR1 used common base AMP/TR) This volume used adjust sound level. When turned counterclockwise, sound turns down. VREF used sound volume adjustment. maximum sound volume, level input VREF pin. minimum sound volume, level input. Playback input interface When stand-alone mode used, press switches playback voices corresponding SW2-SW0. Press switch center (random voice playback switch) playback voice randomly selected from phrases corresponding SW2-SW0. switch pressed immediately after power RESET signal input, voice first phrase played back first, then random phrase generated from second time onward.
